Required Supplies: During orientation, students will receive a list of textbooks they are required to purchase. Students will be expected to provide their own supplies from a supply list. Instructors will supply the lists during the first week of classes. Students should not purchase any texts and/or supplies before orientation.
DESCRIPTION
In the Fashion Illustration I course students learn how to create individual collections following their own fashion project. In order to express these projects students will learn technical skills such as sketching the fashion figure and drawing the drapery of garments as they fall on the human figure. Students will learn how to organize - color cards" and 'mood boards' in order to express - in a visual way - the feel and style of a collection. Special attention will be given to creative projects involving real garments in order to prepare and participate in the school fashion show at the end of the semester.
