DESCRIPTION
A introduction to the field of aeronautical/aerospace engineering. The course includes discussions of fundamental physical properties of a flowing gas ; aerodynamic forces ; and introductory concepts of airplane design. Subsonic and supersonic flows are studied. This course introduces the concepts needed for the competitive freshman design project.
