DESCRIPTION
This course provides students with an orientation in the current developments, techniques and defenses in the disinformation war as well as with understanding of myths related to the EU that are spreading in the media (traditional and social). Through learning about myth creation and disinformation techniques, students will be able to recognize such attempts at manipulation and misleading presentation of information and will be able to disprove them by finding valid information and understanding intended impact of the disinformation. Students will also obtain basic insight into the conceptual framework of disinformation, misinformation and fake news.
