This studio-based course develops foundational drawing skills through direct engagement with Madrid's artistic heritage and urban landscape. Designed as a hands-on drawing experience, it invites students of all skill levels to explore Madrid through their sketchbooks, using drawing as a tool to connect with Spanish culture, history, and daily life. From the grandeur of Plaza Mayor to the intimate corners of local mercados, Students will learn to see the city with an artist's eye while mastering essential drawing techniques.
Blending studio practice with on-location sketching, the course emphasizes observation, visual storytelling, and creative experimentation?no prior experience required. Throughout the course Students will tackle accessible projects that build confidence with pencils, ink, and watercolor, while developing a deeper understanding of Madrid through the unique perspective of artistic practice.
