DESCRIPTION
The course introduces students to the management of the operating system GNU linux. The theoretical part of the course comprises the basic structure of the linux. The practical part focuses mainly on basic configuration, command line interface and basic scripting. Since the GNU linux is the leading operating system on servers and super-computers, this course mainly focuses on understanding the basic structure, configuration and administration. The linux operating system provides a great deal in functionality and configuration over local or remote terminal. The administration of the linux system is usually very hard for beginners, however it greatly pays off for experienced users. The main goal of this course is to open doors into linux world.
