DESCRIPTION

Video has become one of the most dynamic and influential mediums in contemporary art. This course introduces students to video as a creative and conceptual medium, encouraging experimentation with original and found footage, sound, and editing. Students will learn the fundamentals of video shooting and post-production, while also exploring strategies of display and exhibition-making. Emphasis is placed on developing a critical understanding of video's role in contemporary practice and producing original works that engage with this expanded field.
