DESCRIPTION
Students will gain an understanding of the protection afforded to human rights in the laws of Europe. The course will focus on the European Convention of Human Rights and the jurisprudence of the Strasbourg Court in interpreting its substantive provisions. Attention will also be paid to its relationship with the constitutional traditions of member states and the framework of the European Union.
