DESCRIPTION
In this module specialist linear analogue circuit and radio frequency circuits are explored. The case study of a typical monolithic operational amplifier design is used as a vehicle for further analysis of analogue linear methods of IC design. Radio frequency analogue electronics is explored in terms of modulation techniques, different oscillator circuits and AM/FM transmitter designs. Workshops follow the development of the material in lectures, leading to the design of a discrete op-amp on a breadboard. RF circuits are simulated using Circuit Design Suite.
