DESCRIPTION
To prepare the student to deal with operational matters relating to an engineering project by teaching them techniques used to assist in such work. An appreciation of the benefits, difficulties and limitations associated with such techniques will be fostered. To give the student a broad understanding and appreciation of the quality assurance function in any manufacturing or service organization. It also aims to show the growing importance of this function both nationally and internationally. The module also examines in detail some of the technical and management methods for improving quality performance within an organization.
