DESCRIPTION

The aim of this subject is for the student to know the basic concepts of signification and the semiosis, and hence the central role signs exert in the constitution of culture. The student should master the meaning relationship and the nature of the different representational means. She must acquaint with the history of the concept and with the greatest controversies about representation.
