DESCRIPTION
This course will focus primarily on giving students practical, hands-on experience of advertising projects which will simulate, as much as possible, real advertising agency scenarios.
The course will be divided into two parts: the theoretical part, framing the practical experience within marketing and advertising strategy, and a practical part which will allow students to work on real-life projects under the guidance of a creative director with many years of experience in the advertising business. Students will learn how a real advertising agency operates and the step-by-step process of developing advertising campaigns from writing a creative brief to the final creative proposal and selling it to a client and, then, what happens next. Although primarily designed for marketing students, the course will be open to any student interested in advertising or wanting to learn more about how creativity helps to communicate effectively. Apart from marketing and business studies students, it could also be a cross-school course for students of Humanities, majoring in Journalism or the Arts.
The course will focus on the importance of harnessing strategic creative thinking to meet marketing objectives.
