DESCRIPTION

This course explores the biological, cultural, socio-economic and environmental factors that influence health outcomes at global and national levels. It explores how the burden of disease and mortality rates are distributed, and how global determinants contribute to inequalities. Attention will be paid to differences between nations, as well as among groups and communities within nations. This course covers methods of studying disparities in health, as well as solutions and outcomes, such as cooperative action, international programs and future directions in an ever-changing global health landscape.
