Accounting and IT Systems I addresses key topics of accounting information systems and their use to provide accurate and timely information to support effective decision-making in organizations and to provide information relevant to the organization?s stakeholders. The well-functioning of accounting information systems is vital for organizations, therefore internal controls and risk management are important topics that need to be addressed in order to mitigate, identify and react to fraudulent acts that are threats to modern organizations and ensure systems availability.
