Dear Colleagues,

I am writing with important and exciting announcements about the future of CEA and our partnership with CAPA.

In just the first year of our partnership, we have expanded our global footprint and our portfolio of programs. We have worked together in meaningful ways to share best practices and expertise across organizations, improving and expanding our programming at our Study Centers around the world while delivering the highest quality education abroad programs that serve the needs of our students and you, our partners.

As we move forward together, we will now exist as one single organization with two brands: CEA and CAPA.

The first step in this exciting new chapter is welcoming Keith Cline as CEO of our shared organization, effective March 14. Keith joined the Board of Directors of CEA and CAPA in December 2021. With a wealth of business and leadership knowledge, Keith is eager to combine his passion for leading people and the development of globally-minded students.

Additionally, Dr. Martha Johnson will join the organization as the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost later this spring. Dr. Johnson is an expert and leader in the field of education abroad and her tenure at the University of Minnesota, in addition to her research and advocacy in our field, makes her poised to step into this integral role. Dr. Johnson will provide academic oversight for both providers, led by CEA and CAPA's Vice Presidents of Academic Affairs, Dr. Lou Berends and Dr. Andrea Custodi, respectively.

I will transition from CEO to Executive Chairman of the Board, providing key insight and support to maintain the CEA brand as we have grown it over the past 25 years. John Christian will report directly to Keith as President of CAPA.

We look forward to deeper discussion on partner campuses throughout the coming months, and we are excited about what this means for the future of study abroad, the greater impact our organization will have on tens of thousands of students, and our continued dedication as your trusted partner.
