Continuing My Faith in the South of France
One of my biggest worries when it came to studying abroad was what it would look like to be a Christian in Europe. I attend a Christian university in the States where I attend chapel every day and go to church every Sunday. The thought of leaving that community behind seemed daunting.
So blessed to have met these wonderful sisters-in-Christ, they have made studying abroad so much fun!
My favorite spot to do devotions is by the ocean, it is truly so peaceful here.
But I am beyond blessed to be living in the French Riviera, France which is a quaint town by the ocean where God’s beauty is truly all around. I love going for long walks listening to worship music or doing my devotions by the ocean. It is truly so peaceful here which has been so good for me mentally, physically, and spiritually.
These are some of my favorite people (my roomies), they have been such a blessing to live with, pray with, and grow in Christ with.
Every morning before school I write in my prayer journal, and it is a great way to start the day!
The Lord has been so faithful to provide for me an amazing community of fellow believers while abroad. Both of my roommates in France are Christian and through CEA CAPA, I have met two other Christians within my program. It has been so good talking about God with them, listening to worship music, attending church together and just loving one another.
First day at Cornerstone Church with my CEA CAPA friends!
This is one of my besties, Stella. She is such a light and an amazing musician, I love it when she leads worship music.
My favorite Sunday while studying abroad was when we went over to our friend's apartment for church. She played the guitar, and we sang worship music and watched an online sermon together.
The first few weeks of studying abroad, my friends and I found a church near us (thanks to CEA CAPA providing recommendations). It’s called Cornerstone and it is a bilingual church, both in English and French. The people there were so excited to see us and were incredibly welcoming!
While abroad my sweet cousin visited me for the day! She is so full of amazing advice and it was a great time of intentional conversation.
A glimpse into some of the amazing sights I have been able to see. Incredibly blessed for this season of life!
Studying abroad has allowed me to travel all over the world, and I am in constant awe of how amazing of a Creator God truly is. I encourage any person of faith to consider studying abroad, it is a great opportunity to find your people all over the world!
