Gather around, friends from the internet! The time has come where I share the only thing I am possessive about in Barcelona.

DRUM ROLL PLEASSEEE!!!!

My top 4 favorite places to eat in Barcelona.

Like every other college student living abroad, budgeting is important to me. Most of us don’t have a lot of money and when we do we spend it on food. So, I have done my best to find the best AND least expensive restaurants where you can still get quality food on a budget. Behold the grand list of for all my foodies out there.

1. Surf House ($-$$)

While everyone in CEA might warn you to stay away from beach restaurants this one is a must. Surf House is a collection of Californian beach food/ Mediterranean food with a hint of street food classics on the menu. The menu changes every few months, but no worries the classics stay the same. With options like pancakes with fresh berries and homemade syrup, to delicious açaí bowls, and all the way down to the street nachos, they will never disappoint you. You can’t go wrong with outdoor seating and a spectacular view of the sea. In addition, they also offer activities like paddle boarding, and yoga classes, so you can plan your entire day around Surf House. By far one of my favorite places, and when you go don’t forget to ask for Zumos de Naranja (its spectacular)

2. Rosa Negra ($-$$)

If you are looking for classic Mexican food this is your place. A 5-minute walk from the CEA building this place has the most fantastic lunch menu and is fast so you won’t be late for class after. The lunch menu lets you pick a starter, main meal, a side, a soda or a coffee and a dessert. All for under 12 euros. It doesn’t get much better than that.

3. Imagin Café ($)

While this might not be considered a restaurant Imagin café is by far one of my favorite spots. Considered to be a “work space” they offer lunch and breakfast and extremely good coffees. With free Wi-Fi and a close location to CEA you will be able to get your homework done in-between classes or even catch up on your favorite Netflix shows if you want. Either way, it’s a huge café with comfortable chairs and allows you to stay for hours, even if you don’t purchase anything. However, it smells like homemade cookies in there, so you will most definitely buy something!

4. Kasa Ramen ($$)

Where are all my ramen lovers?? Good news for you!! Ramen bars are incredibly popular in Barcelona and while everyone chooses to make ramen differently Kasa has got to be the best by far. Not only is the ramen good, but the presentation is outstanding, which makes the food only more incredible. Be sure to get the chicken dumplings on the side to split with a friend, I promise you can’t go wrong.

While I still have other amazing restaurants in Barcelona these are the 4 I suggest trying out first. However addicting the food might be at these places please be sure to try other local spots that maybe no one ever told you about, and no matter what you do BRANCH OUT. The possibilities are endless and sometimes take a little bit of adventuring to find. All the same you will love it.

Be sure to check out social media for the restaurants, and make sure to check my travel page to see all my pictures while abroad!

Until Next Time!
