Paris is known for many things—the sights, the food, the Eiffel Tower, and more. In no other city is fashion a way of life as it is in Paris. As a fashionista myself, I have absolutely loved being able to dress up every single day without feeling like I care too much about how I look. The Parisians know and love fashion, and it has been that way for ages. This city has been the fashion capital since the 18th century. Today, there are many other fashion capitals of the world and people argue whether Paris is still the main fashion capital but whether it is or not, no one can deny its power in the industry. When I was looking at studying abroad here, I made sure to put Paris Fashion Week on my calendar because I knew I would want to hunt down a fashion show or two and capture some street style. I was able to find the entrance to the extremely exclusive Dior fashion show at the Musée Rodin. The street outside with crowded with photographers and show-goers, and I was able to capture some of the incredible styles.

I love the bohemian style of her dress

 Incredible military-inspired jacket

 The sequin trend on point!

An edgy style of the classic trench

Paris is full of fur accents like this fur scarf

Obviously, the Paris Fashion Week styles are more outgoing than what you would find on a normal day in Paris. It is true that most people here normally wear muted colors such as black, navy blue, brown, etc in classic styles. The French invest in high quality and classic clothing pieces that will last a long time with accessories that are more trendy. Paris Fashion Week is a chance, then, for people to show off their more exotic and show-stopper pieces. It is really interesting to walk around this city at this time to enjoy the city's own fashion show, in a sense. If you are planning on studying abroad in Paris or simply visiting, try to plan your time around a fashion week to really experience a large part of the culture of Paris.
