Vegetarian spots in Alicante

We may be a tiny bit biased, but we think Spain has some of the best food in the world. That said, being a vegetarian in this country can be…challenging. But don’t worry about it, because I’ve created a list of the best vegetarian restaurants in Alicante, all known for offering seasonal fruit and vegetables of the Mediterranean.

Fast & Bio: This organic vegetarian café specializes in pizza, but also offers salads and more along with eco wine, beer, and drinks.

L'Indret: Open for lunch during the week, this restaurant offers an extensive daily menu with large portions for €11.50. Choose from many vegetarian and vegan options.

SuperSano: SuperSano is Alicante’s only eco supermarket. Here you’ll find everything from tahini to tofu, to organic produce, snacks, and eco-friendly products like shampoo and conditioner.

If you love studying or reading in cafés, here are a few of our local favorites:

October Press: My favorite cafe in Alicante! With sweet owners and a very inviting atmosphere, October Press is the perfect place to relax, hear live music, and check out art exhibits and demos. If you’re looking for souvenirs or gifts for those back home, October Press carries postcards from local artists and other random items. Hip decor and great indie music make this the perfect café!

Pequeña Luisa: This super cute cafe is filled with local artwork and serves great healthy food. If you love a good breakfast, you won’t want to miss Pequeña Luisa.

Canada Cupcake Café: This Canadian-owned coffee shop features pour-over coffee, specialty coffee drinks, smoothies, and (you guessed it) cupcakes!

  Tips y Tapas
: For amazing home-cooked food, great coffee, a friendly staff, and good prices, stop by Tips y Tapas.

La Puça: This teteria (tearoom) and café serves healthy eco food and coffee. It’s in a great location behind the Mercado Central. La Puça is open in the afternoons on weekdays, but opens at noon on weekends with a delicious brunch.

These places are so cute! I hope you enjoy them.
