Wine, Gastronomy & Sustainability Traveling Seminar

Wine, Gastronomy & Sustainability Traveling Seminar

About the Program

Food and wine tourism is booming! This program takes you to sites across three key food and wine locations: France, Italy and Spain. Seminar topics include the international influence of the French, Italian and Spanish wine markets; the globalization of wine; wine and food pairing; gastronomical influences; and the ins and outs of the tourism industry. As you visit local vineyards to gain a greater understanding of the business of wine, we’ll emphasize the branding, production, marketing, and selling of wine. You’ll explore various cultural sites in France, Italy and Spain and attend special lectures on winemaking and food pairing, led by master chefs and sommeliers. Course content will be delivered through multiple site visits, guest lectures, and in-class meetings. You’ll have the opportunity to select the subject area that best meets your needs from the list of courses available.
