There’s no better way to improve your language skills than by immersing into another culture… and that’s just what you’ll do in this program. From lessons in grammar and listening comprehension to oral expression, you’ll acquire—or hone—your Spanish language skills. Interactions with locals and other students at the University of Belgrano will further enhance your immersion experience. Whether you’re a beginning Spanish speaker or speak at an advanced level, this engaging program will improve your Spanish language proficiency.
Choose a 4-week session in June or July, or combine two sessions in June-July or July-August. Each session, you’ll enroll in 1 language course. Courses meet for 100 contact hours/6 credits per session. Students in the 4-week session may earn a total of up to 6 credits (up to 100 contact hours); students who combine sessions may earn a total of up to 12 credits (up to 200 contact hours).
You’ll attend class 3-5 hours per day, Monday-Friday. Active learning components required by your courses may be scheduled for Fridays.
You’ll take a language placement test after you arrive in Buenos Aires. You will be enrolled into courses based on their availability and results of your language placement test. If you enroll in consecutive sessions during the summer, you’ll have the opportunity to re-test your language level at the end of each session, and may move into a higher level. To ensure that you receive credit for the language level you place into, have your home school pre-approve courses at several levels before you leave for Argentina. Please consult with your academic advisor at your home university on credit pre-approval guidelines.
