Program Structure
You’ll enroll in 1 CAPA internship course and complete a full time internship placement. The internship course consists of:
1) a minimum of 28-32 internship placement hours per week (for a total of 168-192 placement hours)
2) a class that includes 45 contact hours.
Combined, the internship placement and course is 6 credits. Overall, you may earn 6 credits.
CAPA Center courses meet Monday through Thursday. The Global Internship Course consists of a once per week in-class active learning session combined with complementary field experiences. Internship placement schedules vary and are designed to work around course schedules.
Prior to departure, you will select your course. Please consult with your academic advisor at your home university on credit pre-approval guidelines.
You’ll be awarded a transcript from the University of Minnesota upon successful completion of this track.

Excursions
Get out and explore! Excursions are offered for most semester, year, and summer programs*. Semester students are typically offered between two to three excursions and summer study students are typically offered between one to two excursions. You'll receive a calendar of excursions during orientation; here are a few day and overnight excursions we've offered in the past.
