You will receive a finalized itinerary once you arrive onsite.

Note: Additional cultural activities/excursions or required course-related activities may be incorporated into your final itinerary. You are advised not to make personal travel arrangements until you have the final dates.

Arrival/Program Begins

Official Program Start Date. Students must arrive at the Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD) on this date in order to be eligible for airport pickup. Students will then be transferred to their assigned housing.
August 28 - September 02
Orientation

Mandatory CEA CAPA/Corvinus University of Budapest Orientation will be held.
September 03
Classes Begin

Classes begin at Corvinus University of Budapest on this day.
September 08
Cultural Activity

Discover Budapest! Tour of the Buda Castle, the Labyrinth and the Matthias Church.
September 22
Cultural Activity

Intro to Spa and Wellness in Hungary. Visit to Széchenyi Thermal Bath.
October 06 - 08
Excursion

CEA CAPA Excursion to Eger, a historic town famous of its vine and the 1552 siege by the Ottoman Empire which was successfully repelled by the heroic defenders. Nearby in Szilvásvárad we will be hiking in the mountains, take the little forest train and have some smoked trout or piping hot tarragon ragout soup for dinner to warm us up. Finally to relax, before heading back to Budapest: a visit to the Cave Bath of Miskolctapolca, a unique thermal bath carved into a cave.

Cultural Activity

Intro to Hungarian Gastronomy. Cooking workshop.
November 03
Excursion

CEA CAPA Excursion to Normafa, a famous hiking resort near Budapest. Hiking. Climbing to the top of Elizabeth Lookout named after empress Elizabeth to have a fantastic view of the city.
December 08
Classes End

This is the last day of classes at Corvinus University of Budapest.
December 09
Excursion

CEA CAPA Excursion to Wienna. Daytrip to the famous Christmas Market in Wienna.
December 11 - 15
Final Exams

Final exams will be held at Corvinus University of Budapest.
December 18
Program Ends/Move-Out

Official Program End Date. Students must move out of housing no later than this day.
