DESCRIPTION
This course aims at providing students with an overview of the main characters of two of the most representative works in Spanish literature: La Celestina, by Fernando Rojas and Don Juan, by Tirso de Molina. In order to do that, the necessary historical, social and artistic knowledge will be studied. General features of these theatre works will be analysed and commented. Throughout the course, theatre will be studied as a literary manifestation of a culture and of significant ideologies in the history of Spain.
