DESCRIPTION

The course explores the occupation of France in World War II in history, as well as in literature and media. The curriculum includes an overview of the history of France during the period 1934 ? 1945, concentrating on the defeat and occupation, the responses of the civilian population, including collaboration and resistance, and the fate of displaced persons living in France at the time. Attention is also given to how France came to understand these events through media in the decades that followed.
