DESCRIPTION
A core course in developmental psychology of children. It focuses on the development of children throughout infancy and childhood from various perspectives. We will cover the various theories of human development, social context and sections of the development, such as development of the senses, motor function, cognition, language, emotions, morals. The goal of this course is to provide students with an overview of human development from different schools of psychology. The various theories of development will be covered, along with the relation between physical development and the developmental changes of mental function. Social and environmental impact on human development is also covered.
