DESCRIPTION
The course aims to describe, analyze & discuss the effects of globalization on trade, business, media, social interaction, culture, environment, migration, religion and the power of international organizations & national governments. This course is designed to understand the impact of the process of globalisation focusing on its socio-political and economic consequences. It describes and analyses aspects related to poverty, wealth, cultural interchanges and influence, economic domination and political developments associated to the expansion of transnational relations. The course adopts both a theoretical approach, assessing the theoretical understanding of the globalization process, and a practical dimension covering examples from different parts of the world.
