DESCRIPTION
This course is the fifth and final module of the minor of the Herman Bavinck Center for Reformed and Evangelical Theology 'A Christian Worldview' Contemporary Challenges, Reformed and Evangelical Perspectives'. The course critically reflects on the concept of 'worldview' and relates the Reformed and Evangelical traditions to the core elements of the Christian faith as expressed in the Niceno-Constantinopolitan Creed (325/381). Seven themes will be discussed: God, creation, history, Jesus Christ and redemption, the Bible, the church and the human beings in the light of the Kingdom of God.
Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) awards credits based on the ECTS system. Contact hours listed under a course description may vary due to the combination of lecture-based and independent work required for each course therefore, CEA's recommended credits are based on the ECTS credits assigned by VU Amsterdam. 1 ECTS equals 28 contact hours assigned by VU Amsterdam.
