Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in a Global Context - How do international educators build bridges?

As diversity, equity, and inclusion become more central to every aspect of education abroad, as a field we need to rethink our roles. While education abroad practitioners are used to building bridges across cultures, how do they build bridges with a diversity, equity, and inclusion framework within campus communities?
 
This critical dialogue will bring in the two unique institutional perspectives of Samantha Brandauer, Associate Provost and Executive Director of the Center for Global Study and Engagement at Dickinson College, and Miguel Ayllon, Director of Study Abroad at the University of Missouri. Each presenter will share their own journey, lessons learned, and some ideas for change as our field continues to make diversity, equity, and inclusion in a global context more central to foundational work as leaders and educators.

Health & Safety Updates

We are actively monitoring COVID-19 booster shot developments in the U.S. and our program locations. At this time, CEA will not require students to receive a booster before going abroad in the Spring ‘22 term. We strongly encourage students to check with their healthcare provider and receive a booster (if recommended) when available before departing for their CEA program.
