Come Along for a Day in the Life as an Intern in Paris!

Throughout my time studying abroad, I had so many once-in-a-lifetime experiences while going through everyday life, studying and interning in Paris with CEA CAPA. I hope you enjoy my day in the life as an intern studying abroad in Paris, France. This first photo shows me in front of my apartment door in the twelfth arrondissement, shutting the door before heading to the CEA CAPA center in Marais.

I would always start out my morning with a croissant from the Stroller Patiserie, which you can see in my hand walking down the street. The next photo is of the street that the CEA CAPA center is on. On this day it was snowing, which was very special since snow in Paris is very rare.

Later, my class went on a field study to the Musee l’orangerie which holds Monet’s “Water Lilies”.  Which is a series of paintings, which create an immersive experience and is the only one of its kind in the world.

My roommate and I enjoyed hot chocolate after class at Carette.

After our class, my roommate and I would often go to Cartette for hot chocolate, since there is a location only a ten-minute walk from the center.  The next two photos are other after class activities me and my roommates would often partake in. We would go to Luxembourg gardens to read or do homework or explore other areas in and around Paris. For example, we were able to visit Versailles as it is so close to Paris.

I also added a photo I took of Montemarte while assisting my internship leader on a tour we did there. The tour covered artists and historical women who lived in Montmartre.

The next photo was taken at the restaurant Le Refuge des Fondues in the Montmartre neighborhood in Paris. The fondue here was delicious and it was such a unique experience.

The last photo is outside the office where I would go to have meetings with my internship advisor. There was often a cat who would lay out in the sun so I took a photo of her.
