La Cova Tallada

Life in Alicante is the typical life of a coastal living city: streets are full of city sounds while people cross the shops and the leisure places. The beach is only a few steps away, at night the city gets in full of life.  But if you want to scape of city noise, the places around can offer too many possibilities to rest and enjoy all of Alicante can provide.

The town of Jávea is only 72km (45 miles) from Alicante. This town, is located between the Mediterranean coast and the mountains, is so quiet and serene, perfect to an excursion during the weekend. There, you can enjoy of the beautiful landscape doing hiking across the cliffs and inlet which dominate the coast.

La Torre Del Gerro, a watchtower of 13,5m (44ft), was builded in the XVI century to sight the foreign pirates, from the tower there are very good views of Mediterranean sea. The trail goes along the edge of coast, with the blue Mediterranean Sea on one side and the cliffs on the other. To me, la Cova Tallada, is a so relaxed destiny where the only sounds coming to the gentle waves and the fresh breeze, is one of the best choices to live far to the noisy life in Alicante.
