Paris Walking Tour - Best Way to See the City of Lights

With 20 arrondissements (districts), Paris can seem impossibly big. At the beginning of my study abroad experience, I put off buying a metro pass. Luckily, I was close to my internship and school, so walking was not really an issue. It was also the end of summer so there was an abundance of gorgeous weather. After buying a PassNavigo (the monthly metro pass), I relied less on walking, and planned my routes using the convenient metro or the abundant bus options.

My view of Paris grew, and I decided Paris was less of a walkable city than I first anticipated. That was my philosophy until November rolled around and my unlimited pass from October expired. I soon discovered that walking is the BEST way to see Paris and made so many more discoveries than I would have been able to underground on the metro.
