Spend your summer learning to live like a Londoner. Wander through the Tate Modern while contemplating the minimalist movement, or delve into the challenges of marketing a domestic product like Cadbury internationally. Regardless of your course of study, you’ll gain an appreciation for British culture while developing your ability to communicate and navigate one of the most international cities in the world.
You’ll enroll in two electives of your choice. Elective courses meet for 45 contact hours/3 credits. You may earn up to a total of 6 credits (90 contact hours).
Elective courses generally meet 4 times per week, Monday-Thursday. Active learning components required by your courses may be scheduled for Fridays.
Prior to departure, you will select your preferred courses. You will be enrolled into courses based on their availability. It is in your best interest to have multiple alternative courses approved by your home university prior to your departure due to course availabilities. Please consult with your academic advisor at your home university on credit pre-approval guidelines.
Courses at the CEA London Center use the city as a classroom, incorporating academics with thoughtful site visits and field trips that take full advantage of this vibrant, diverse urban setting. The CEA London Center’s intentional course list offers a focus on business and communication — ideal for complementing internship placements — as well as London-themed courses in areas such as history, literature, theatre studies, art history, and more.
When you study abroad in London, you can choose CEA housing or arrange your own independent housing. CEA housing assignments are based on availability and confirmation date; we make every effort to match your housing requests, but we can’t guarantee housing preferences.
Life-Long Benefits I made friends I will have for the rest of my life. I learned a lot about not only France, but who I am and what I am capable of. Everybody should have the chance to study abroad because there are so many benefits.
