5 Places to go in Prague

It's October, which means I've been in Prague for over a month! It's so crazy to even think about. While I've spent three weekends traveling, the time I've spent in Prague has been absolutely magical. There are so many exciting and surreal sites to see. However, aside from the popular tourist sites, there are many hidden gems here in Prague.

Here are five spots you must see in Prague:

A close-up shot of the John Lennon Wall

1. John Lennon Wall

Obviously the infamous John Lennon Wall is a must-see here in Praha. With it's colorful and calming atmosphere there is actually more to see than just the wall. If you go at the right time, you'll see musicians playing right in front of the wall, typically a guitarist. With the music in the background of this amazing site, you won't regret you're visit to the John Lennon Wall.

Memorial to the victims of communism at Pentrîn hill.

2. Petrîn Hill

Petrîn hill is definitely a hidden gem in my book. Located within steps of my apartment, the hill contains beautiful flowers and even an emotional memorial going up its steps. The memorial honors the victims of communism and I highly recommend paying it a visit.

Breath-taking view of St. Vitus Cathedral

3. Prague Castle

With its ginormous property, there is certianly plenty to see at the grounds of Prague Castle. I recently visited the grounds and was blown away by not only the castle itself, but the St. Vitus Cathedral located steps away from the castle. Its architecture made this trip worth-while, making it a must-see on my list.

 Paddle-boating in the Vtlava River

4. Vtlava River

No matter where you're standing in region to the Vtlava River, the view is absolutely magnificent. I highly recommend actually embracing the river by peddle-boating to gain an unforgettable perspective of the Charles Bridge. You can even pack a nice picnic; truly worth it.

 Bubble-man at Old Town Square

5. Old Town Square

Last, but certainly not least, is Old Town Square. While this is by far the most touristy spot throughout Prague, it is still a must-see. There is so much to do: Get a Trdlnek, shop around, and even see the infamous Astronomical Clock. There's always a guy with his bubble wand out there, so make sure to get a great shot. Old Town Square will not let you down.

There's obviously much more to see than just these five hit spots; so go out, explore, and embrace all that Prague has to offer.
