Explore the richness of modern Irish life in a dynamic, diverse backdrop. This flexible program is designed for students interested in studying history, cultural geography, business, literature, or all-of-the-above in an Irish context. On-site activities, projects, and team tasks help you learn by doing; courses at the CEA Dublin Center take full advantage of the city of Dublin as a living classroom, bringing lessons learned in class to life through hands-on, real-world experiences. Courses at the International School of Business (ISB) (semester/academic year students only) offer a truly integrated experience, as you'll attend class alongside other international students.
Our partner institution, International School of Business, is located in the heart of Dublin and offers a dynamic, youthful campus experience. The school’s focus on active learning and international students creates a vibrant, integrated setting in which to gain business education.
The CEA CAPA Dublin Center has a focus on active learning that takes you out of the classroom and into the city, where you’ll enjoy first-hand encounters with local culture. This compelling, interactive learning environment offers courses in Liberal Arts and Business characterized by global perspective, small class sizes, and experienced faculty.
When you study abroad in Dublin, you can choose standard CEA CAPA housing—in a student residence apartment or homestay—or arrange your own independent housing. Assignments are based on availability and confirmation date; we make every effort to match your housing requests, but we can’t guarantee housing preferences.
Program Structure
Each semester, you'll enroll in 2 core courses and 2-3 elective courses at the CEA Dublin Center; you may choose to enroll in 1 elective course at ISB. Core and elective courses meet for 45 contact hours/3 credits per semester. You may earn a total of 12-15 credits (up to 225 contact hours) per semester; academic year students may earn a total of 24-30 credits (up to 450 contact hours).
Core and elective courses meet twice a week, Monday-Thursday. Active learning components required by your courses may be scheduled for Fridays.
Prior to departure, you will select your preferred courses. You will be enrolled into courses based on their availability. It is in your best interest to have multiple alternative courses approved by your home university prior to your departure due to course availabilities. Please consult with your academic advisor at your home university on credit pre-approval guidelines.

Relax as a private bus takes you and your fellow students across Ireland, from east to west, to the Cliffs of Moher, a spectacular vista of coastline and dramatic rock face. You’ll continue to Galway, the country’s fourth largest city and considered by many to be the cultural capital of Ireland. Enjoy the spectacular sunset over Galway Bay as you discover Galway’s charmingly narrow pedestrian streets. The next day, you’ll depart for Connemara, home to beautiful and rugged landscapes where the Gaelic language is still spoken. We’ll take a ferry to the Aran Islands, where you’ll experience a link with a time long passed. Explore Dun Aengus, a fort that dates back to the Iron Age, before returning to Galway to experience live traditional music in local pubs.

You’ll learn about the park’s flora and fauna, as well as the lives of the Kerry Chieftains that once resided there. No introduction to Kerry would be complete without a visit to Fungi the Dolphin; local fishermen will take you out to sea to meet Dingle’s biggest celebrity and learn about his Atlantic home. Enjoy a tasty lunch under the canopy of trees at Torc Waterfall and mingle with locals while experiencing the nightlife of Killarney town. The trip to Kerry offers a delicious combination of action, history and nature that is sure to leave you spellbound.

You will receive a finalized itinerary once you arrive onsite.
