Here, you’ll earn credit for exploring the cultural significance of soccer, polo, and other sports. You’ll delve into the national identity that thrives around Argentine sport culture and examine how the business of sport fits into politics and economics. You’ll meet professionals in fields like sport entrepreneurship. You’ll even gain practical business skills in event management and sport marketing as you experience community, regional, and national sporting events alongside locals.
The CEA CAPA Buenos Aires Center turns the city into your classroom. Choose courses in liberal arts, social sciences, and international business, all taught in English and Spanish, and designed to take advantage of the city’s rich history, culture, and political environment. Enjoy courses that best meet your academic, personal, and career interests as you explore all the city offers.
When you study abroad in Buenos Aires, you can choose CEA CAPA housing or arrange your own independent housing. CEA CAPA housing assignments are based on availability and confirmation date; we make every effort to match your housing requests, but we can’t guarantee housing preferences.
Program Structure
Choose a 1- or 2-course option. Elective courses meet for 45 contact hours/3 credits. If you choose the 1-course option, you may earn up to a total of 3 credits (up to 45 contact hours); if you choose the 2-course option, you may earn up to a total of 6 credits (up to 90 contact hours).
Classes meet 2-4 days per week, Monday-Thursday. Active learning components required by your courses may be scheduled for Fridays.
Prior to departure, you will select your preferred courses. You will be enrolled into courses based on their availability. It is in your best interest to have multiple alternative courses approved by your home university prior to your departure due to course availabilities. Please consult with your academic advisor at your home university on credit pre-approval guidelines.

You’ll travel by ferry across the River Plate from Buenos Aires to explore this charming town’s cobbled streets leading to old lighthouses, inns, restaurants, and its original bullfighting ring. You’ll also enjoy a traditional lunch during your time in Uruguay.

You will receive a finalized itinerary once you arrive onsite.

Official Program Start Date. Students must arrive at the Ezeiza International Airport (EZE) on this date in order to be eligible for airport pickup. Students will then be transferred to their assigned housing.
