PRESENTERS

  • Mgr. Daniela Lenčéš Chalániová, Ph.D.
    Daniela Lenčéš Chalániová is the Dean of the School of International Relations & Diplomacy at Anglo-American University in Prague. She graduated from the Faculty of Social and Economic Studies, Comenius University in Bratislava (SK) in the field of European Studies and International Relations, she then went on to obtain her Ph.D. in a doctoral programme in International Relations and European Studies jointly organized by the Institute of International Relations, Prague and the Metropolitan University Prague. Her research interests lie primarily in social and political aspects of European integration, drawing on and inspired by constructivist and critical scholarship in international relations, sociology, communication studies and visual studies. 
  • Pelin Ayan Musil, Ph.D.
    Pelin Ayan Musil is the Chair of the Department of Politics and a senior lecturer in comparative politics and research methods at Anglo-American University. She earned her PhD degree in Political Science from Bilkent University (2010, Ankara). She was a Fulbright Visiting Researcher in the Department of Government at Georgetown University between 2007-2008. She co-directed a research project titled 'Public Portrayal of Turkey in Visegrad Countries' funded by the International Visegrad Fund during 2012-2013. Currently, she is in charge of a research project that investigates the moderation and de-moderation of religious and ethnic parties in Turkey. The project is funded by the Czech Science Foundation (GA ČR) for two years (2018-2019).
  • Richard T. Stock, Ph.D.
    Rick directs the CEA Prague Center and is also a faculty member at CEA’s academic partner, Anglo-American University in Prague. Rick holds a Ph.D. from Charles University in Prague, an M.A. in Literature and Theory from the University of Illinois, and an M.A. in the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language from the University of Reading in the UK. He has served as Academic Director at CIEE in Prague and Program Director of the MAE program as well as Academic Director at CERGE-EI in Prague. He has also been Assistant Professor at the University of South Bohemia.

CEA Internships in Prague: Cultivating Career Competencies for the 21st Century Workplace

PRESENTERS

  • José B. Alvarez, Ph.D., Senior Vice President, Academic Affairs and Initiatives, CEA Study Abroad
    As CEA’s senior academic officer and a member of the organization’s Executive Team, Dr. José B.  Alvarez sets the academic vision for CEA and ensures that all academic initiatives align with the organization’s strategic plan, that all new programs are developed with CEA’s mission and student needs in mind, and ensures that all programs are managed effectively and efficiently.  José holds a Ph.D. from Arizona State University. His research has focused on the analysis of the cultural production of Latin America, especially the films and literary texts produced in Cuba from the inception of the Revolution until the early 1990’s. Prior to working with CEA, Dr. Alvarez was a tenured faculty member at the University of Georgia and served as the Academic Dean for Latin America and Europe at SIT Study Abroad.

  • Lenka Vystrčilová, Ph.D., Academic Director, CEA Study Abroad Prague
    Lenka is responsible to coordinate all academic issues at CEA Study Abroad Prague with our exclusive partner, Anglo-American University. A native of Slovakia, Lenka spent a significant portion of her life living and studying in the U.S. Lenka holds a doctorate in political science from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitaet in Munich, a master’s degree in Russian, East European, and Eurasian studies from Stanford University, and a bachelor’s degree in international relations and German studies from Lewis and Clark College. Lenka has worked as an assistant director and academic coordinator for a U.S. study abroad program in Munich, and as an academic director for international students in Prague.
