Emily Lierle
As the Social Media Manager, Emily creates the strategy and content for all of CEA’s social channels and runs CEA’s Mobile Journalist (MOJO) program that curates digital content from students abroad.
Emily honed her digital marketing skills and knack for content creation at Markitors, a small digital agency in Scottsdale, where she was a one-woman band managing small businesses’ social media accounts, SEO content, email marketing, CEO branding, and overall strategies. She conducted research, created editorial calendars, wrote social and long-form content, created social objects, edited video, and coordinated with media and influencers to distribute the content. As the first hire at her previous agency, she also helped recruit and onboard new hires as the organization grew.
Before joining CEA, Emily served as Content Marketing Manager for All Told, the integrated marketing team at Allison+Partners in Scottsdale, where she was responsible for a number of content marketing efforts, including researching, planning, strategic support, and writing, as well as influencer and social media marketing.
While studying at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University, Emily held internships ranging from reporting at a small newspaper in North Dakota and writing for Arizona Highways Magazine to creating SEO and social media content for U-Haul at their headquarters.
Emily is fluent in French and studied abroad at the Sorbonne in Paris for a semester. Her enthusiasm for international education stemmed from that experience, and since joining the CEA team, her bucket list has expanded and her passion for marketing and engaging with students on digital platforms has grown exponentially.
