I engaged with the local community by just tying to talk to people and learn more about the culture. Especially trying to speak in Italian and attending markets or other activities that are not as touristy, but the locals like to do.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
My favorite class that I took abroad was my art history class which was called Women, Art and Culture in Italy. This class was amazing because we were able to go see so much of the art we were learning about as well as learn about how they related to the city and the stories of the artists. The class included tons of field trips and made the learning really fun and interactive while also getting to know the city well.
