Reflecting on My Time in Aix

When reflecting upon my five-month journey while studying abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France, it’s hard to condense it to a short amount of words. Upon learning so many things about French culture and language, I learned things about myself that I feel I wouldn’t have discovered had I not gone abroad. I know that this experience will surely impact my future, in the way that I interact with different people. One thing I wished I had known before going abroad was that it’s not like a vacation, but it’s not like going away to school, either. It’s something that’s completely its own, and something you’ll hold on to for the rest of your life. The people you meet and the things you get to see and experience are memories that you’ll have forever.
