Plage du Pontiel
This beach is basically where everyone in Antibes goes during the summer months. On a sunny day (basically every day) from May to September, you can expect to find people of all ages laying out, catching some rays, playing volleyball and playing in the water. The water itself is almost like taking a bath -- it's that warm. Not to mention, it’s clear as day and shallow for about 100 yards out into the waves. Further up the beach, you can take amazing photos of the renowned view of Le Fort Carré, which dates back to the 16th century. The best part? The fort is just a short walk away from Plage du Pontiel!
Marché Provençal
If you like fresh, locally grown produce, spices and handmade goodies, this market is the place for you. Open daily, it's a great place to walk down to after you take a stroll along the beach. It gets busy, but that's part of the fun of the experience, and the more you go, the more you get used to the locals nudging past you. What they sell differs based on the season, but you can always count on seeing a large array of many fresh fruits and veggies. Totally a must-go.
Paul
Paul is a local bakery with deliciously fresh — and photogenic — pastries, sandwiches and baguettes. The atmosphere is like a mix of a modern, 21st century café, but with a rustic feel, and aromas that could rival just about anything. The staff are very friendly and helpful if you don’t speak much French. There is outdoor seating, and on almost any day, you can sit either inside or outside to study, write, or just hang out with your friends, taking in the beauty of Place du Général de Gaulle.
Just about any side street or alleyway
This one might seem a bit odd because it isn’t exactly one place; however, Antibes lives up to the famous European dream-like feeling of old brick-and-plaster buildings with vines and flowers flowing down from the roofs along the walls. Even on the rainiest of days, a stroll to get lost within the walls of the ever-connected houses and stores will fill one with joy and awe. The streets of Antibes are kind of like a maze that you cannot actually get lost in, despite the probability that you will definitely want to.
Promenade de l’Amrial de Grasse
This promenade is right along the walls surrounding Antibes, and is full of restaurants, shops and perfect walls to take that Instagram-worthy selfie. You can take a break from work or class to come down and get a yummy scoop of dulce de leche or stracciatella gelato. Just on the outside of the wall is the boat yard that holds some of the most amazing yachts, as well as a Ferris wheel that will give you some of the most amazing views over Antibes and the Mediterranean Sea. A ride on the wheel will fill you with almost overwhelming feelings of pure joy that you are where you are.
