Day in the Life: Montage of a Student's Life in the French Riviera

For this blog post, I decided to do something a little different… follow me around for a day where I go to school, walk around my town, go grocery shopping and cook dinner!

A few days ago, I was talking to one of my friends about comparing the towns that are situated around Antibes. We spoke about what each town offered and what we like when we live in a city. During the conversation, we asked each other whether we would rather live in one of those towns –Cannes, Juan les Pins, or Nice—other than living in Antibes. At first, we thought living somewhere more lively like Cannes or Nice could be cool but then we both stopped and realized that Antibes is the perfect town to be in. The quaint, historic streets make it easy on the eyes, and getting around is a breeze. Life here is just so simple and pure.

My school, SKEMA Business School is situated in what my friends and I have thoughtfully named Jurassic Park. I mean literally guys, this place is in a jungle. It's on top of one big hill-- my calves love that part-- and you basically walk through forest to get from one building to the next. Luckily, my hometown university is also carefully placed on one giant bunch of hills so I think I can handle the 'up-hill both ways' lifestyle.

There are a bunch of local grocery stores, but on this day we went to Monoprix, probably the largest of the bunch. Grocery shopping is an every-other-day occurrence here, because everything you buy is so fresh and the groceries are actually quite affordable compared to the States!

My roomies and I cook together almost every night, and this particular night we made grilled chicken with rice and sautéed green beans. Its so nice having roommates and friends that love to cook as much as I do, because we get amazing meals out of it all the time!

So far life in the Riviera has treated me so well, and I have finally started feeling like this isn't just a vacation... this is my life in this moment. I hope you all enjoy the little video I attached, the next one will be even more exciting!
