Eat Your Way Through Barcelona

The best part of studying abroad in Barcelona is hands down the delicious food! Check out these three “musts” in Barcelona.

Bo de B

Don’t let the exterior fool you. Sandwiches at Bo de B are famous for being amazingly delicious. First, pick your meat: beef, chicken, or fish. Next, cheese or no? Yes. Always get the cheese, is that even a choice? After that, pick the toppings. There is everything from lentils to corn to onions and more. Finally, the sauces! It is recommended by the owner of Bo de B to smother your sandwich with all of the different sauces. There is a spicy one, avocado-based one, and another that tastes a little bit like mayonnaise.

Bo de B is a very small, local restaurant and there is always a wait. This is how you know it’s one of the good ones. This restaurant is famous for their sandwiches, but there are other options as well. Another fan favorite is the patatas bravas. This is a potato side dish served covered in all of the sauces you can get on your sandwich.

One of the best parts of Bo de B is the price. One sandwich is only four euros, so eating here on a budget is totally possible. 5 stars for Bo de B!

Cookona

How cute is this place?! Got a sweet tooth? Cookona can help you out. Serving all things sweet- Cookona is a must for a sweet snack. Not only are the cookies and treats tasty, but the presentation is perfect for an Instagram pic. Pick your favorite flavor of cookie and leave it at that, or make an ice cream sandwich with cookies and ice cream flavors of your choice. But that’s not all… you can get a bowl of their cookie dough, cookie pizzas, brownies, and more. Everyone who steps into this shop is sure to leave in a sugar coma!

Brunch and Cake

If you’re looking for a restaurant with out-of-this-world presentation, Brunch and Cake is the place to go. The amazing thing about Brunch and Cake is that the food tastes just as good as it looks. They add fresh fruit to just about every dish, which is both tasty and pleasing to the eye. There is truly nothing bad on the menu. Everything is delicious, from the ricotta oat pancakes to the nacho super-sandwich. It’s reasonably priced and there are three different locations around Barcelona, so you’re bound to be near one.
