About the Country

South Africa

Experience history in the making when you study abroad in South Africa. The country’s tumultuous history is marked by diverse influences—from the native peoples, to European colonists, to apartheid, and now independence. The nation is also known for its scenic beauty and abundant biodiversity; when you study abroad in South Africa, you can see penguins on the Cape, hippos in the Limpopo, and lions in Kruger National Park. You can enjoy a traditional braai (bbq), visit a township, and explore the winelands. No matter where your interests lie, you’ll have a life-changing experience in South Africa.

Academics Plus Travel
I highly recommend this program from both an academic and a travel standpoint. Not only did we learn so much about South Africa, but we got to see and experience even more.
