About the Country

From the ancient megaliths of Stonehenge to iconic Big Ben, the crumbling remains of Hadrian’s Wall to the ultra-modern Gherkin, the “green and pleasant land” offers a study in contrasts. Explore a world where old and new peacefully co-exist when you study abroad in England. Land of Harry Potter and Shakespeare, Adele and The Beatles, David Beckham and the Queen, the UK has long been a cultural leader, as well as an economic and political power. At its height, the British Empire controlled almost a quarter of the world, spreading a lasting legal and linguistic influence far and wide. Here, you’ll find some of the world’s greatest museums, galleries, and universities, as well as quaint pubs, ancient villages, and lush green landscapes. Discover this fascinating land for yourself when you study abroad in England.
