Pictures of Study Abroad Excursions in Morocco

Embark on a captivating visual journey from study abroad excursions to the Moroccan cities of Chefchaouen and Tangier where vibrant colors, rich cultural tapestries, and tantalizing culinary delights come together in perfect harmony. This photoset aims to celebrate the unique charm and distinct character of these two cities, showcasing the mesmerizing interplay of colors, the diverse cultural influences, and the delectable flavors that define the essence of Chefchaouen and Tangier. This photoset includes a series of captivating images that capture the iconic, blue-washed streets and buildings of Chefchaouen.

A group of camels walking up a hill

Tangier's Electric Charm: Tangier is extremely unique to Morocco and my first Africa experience. With cats roaming and calls to prayers, culture shock was in play to say the least but the Camels brought me back down.

The Colorful and Cultural Influences

Shades of Blue, Hues of Serenity: The vibrant colors of this Moroccan city represent the vibrant food, traditions and people.

These photographs showcase the city's distinctive aesthetic but also convey the tranquil and serene atmosphere created by the sea of azure hues. These images transport viewers to the heart of Chefchaouen's enchanting blue labyrinth.

Chefchaouen's Artful Enchantment: Arts representing the beauty of the city fill the streets hoping to take a treasure home.

Tangier, a city at the crossroads of cultures, offers a vibrant blend of influences from Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. These photos highlight the architectural diversity, from traditional Moroccan structures to European-influenced buildings, capturing the unique tapestry of cultures that define Tangier's identity.

Colors that Speak: Walking down any small ally way brings you into the bright, fluorescent colors of this city.

Both Chefchaouen and Tangier boast bustling medinas that exude an explosion of colors.

Cultural Rhapsody: Roaming around the unfamiliar Moroccan streets gives me the largest wanderlust feeling I have ever experienced and are excited to chase.

Surrounded by natural splendor, Chefchaouen and Tangier offer breathtaking landscapes. The picturesque coastal views capture the awe-inspiring beauty of the region, highlighting the harmonious coexistence of urban life and nature's wonders.

Capturing Essence: Morocco offers an experience like no other. The essence of this place needs to be taken and put in a treasure box with a large red ribbon and bow.

Enter Chefchaouen's Colorful Calm: Blue door to nowhere represents nothing about Chefchaouen except for the blue color.

The Colorful Cuisine

Food abroad is an integral part of Moroccan culture, some of these photos pay homage to the mouthwatering cuisine found in Chefchaouen and Tangier. My study abroad experience in these two cities (plus my experience playing ultimate frisbee while studying abroad) brought me a new perspective on life that I can remember with these photos and take my knowledge and beauty with me for the rest of my life.

A Feast for the Senses: Colors, Flavors, and Aromas: Taking in every smell, view, touch and taste from Tangier and Chefchaouen was the best part of this extreme get away.

A store with many different types of food

The beautiful culture of Tangier: Markets filled with olives, spices and lively locals.

Our photographs showcase the vibrant markets, the displays of spices, textiles, and handicrafts, and the energetic street scenes, capturing the liveliness that permeates these vibrant city centers. Through images of traditional clothing, lively streets, and the general vibrant feel, we can celebrate the cultural expressions that make Chefchaouen and Tangier so distinct from my studies abroad in Granada, Spain

Savoring Tangier's Spice Symphony: From turmeric to cayenne to cumin and paprika, spice up your life with traditional Moroccan zests.
