LILLY MCCARTHY

Lilly (she/her) graduated Summa Cum Laude from California State Polytechnic University - Pomona in May '23. She graduated with her B.S. in Interpersonal Communication and a minor in Anthropology. Lilly is interning and studying in Buenos Aires, Argentina this fall. Find Lilly's pictures to follow along on this adventure and watch as Lilly becomes immersed in a new culture!

BRIAN WIGGINS

Brian (he/him) studies Political Science and Russian and Eurasian studies at the University of Massachusetts. He’s studying abroad in Prague this fall. He’s looking forward to experiencing Slavic culture and meeting diverse sets of people from all over. Beyond academics, Brian is excited to explore historic sites, experience Prague's night life, and work on his artistic and documentary photography. 

JARRED (MJ) WATKINS

MJ (he/him) is a Journalism and Linguistics major at Miami University (Oxford), who is studying and interning abroad in Prague this fall. He’s excited to immerse himself in the rich culture of Prague and surrounding nations and learn its history. Outside of studying and attending classes, MJ hopes to run around the city and read in local cafés.

ELLIE GLENDE

Ellie (she/her) is a third-year student at the University of Minnesota Rochester studying Health Sciences. She’s studying abroad in London this fall. She’s excited to intern abroad at King’s College Hospital, meet new people, and immerse herself in all London offers. Outside of classes she hopes to travel, explore, and spend time outside in London and other countries while studying abroad. She looks forward to documenting life abroad through photography!

SOFIA MIER GALINDO

Sofia (she/her) is a Constitutional Studies major at the University of Oklahoma, who is studying and interning abroad in Paris this fall. She’s excited to immerse herself in the rich culture of Paris and learn about its political climate. Outside of interning and studying, Sofia can't wait to try all the different Parisian food, walk around its beautiful parks, and perfect her French accent. EMMA SMITH

Emma (she/her) is a Political Science major at the University of Kansas and is studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland this fall. She’s very excited to fully embrace the Irish lifestyle and culture and learn more about Ireland’s fascinating history! Beyond studying, she hopes to travel around Ireland and other areas of Europe, make lasting friendships with other people in her study abroad program and locals, try all different types of cuisine, and network for future career opportunities. ALEXA DOYLE

Alexa (she/her) is a junior at Tulane University studying Art History and Economics. She’s studying abroad in Florence this fall. She’s excited to explore all Italy offers and learn more about Italian Art through CEA CAPA's unique course offerings. Alexa hopes to spend her time exploring Florence and its surrounding areas, eating the best Italian food, and making enduring global connections. Watch for her pictures to learn more about her time in Florence and other parts of Europe! 

MCKENNA YATES

McKenna (she/her) is double majoring in Cinema Studies and Sociology at the University of Colorado at Boulder and studying abroad in Florence this fall. She’ll take photos for CEA CAPA to document her experience abroad and to provide a deeper look at what the student experience is like in Florence. A big fan of trains, she's very excited to ride and take photos of European trains. She'll venture out on weekends to experience as much as possible in her semester abroad. JOSEPH (JOE) BELL

Joe (he/him) is a Biology Major at Indiana University. Joe works to push his boundaries and comfort zones to acquire a broader grasp of the world around him. He doesn’t seek to judge as he wants to change the way the world views candid photography. See his photos of Rome to learn more about his insights.

ALEXX WHITE

Alexx (she/her) is a Psychology major and Cognitive Science minor at Montclair State University, New Jersey. She is continuing her studies this fall semester at VU in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Alexx is elated to be capturing the essence of Dutch culture in her photos and sharing them among prospective students and anyone else who is interested. Academics and content creating aside, Alexx is looking forward to meeting new people and exploring everything Amsterdam has to offer. She’s honored and overjoyed to embark on this journey. PAIGE MARIE BILY

Paige (she/her) is a student from Iowa who attends St. Ambrose University. She's currently going into her third year and will be starting graduate school for her Occupational Therapy degree during her fourth year. She's studying abroad to learn more about various cultures around the world and explore everything offered outside the U.S. Paige plans to visit all the special places Alicante has to offer while sharing more about the experience along the way.

STEFANIE FERNANDES

Stefanie is a Sociology student at California Polytechnic State University, who’s studying abroad in Barcelona this fall. She’s excited to take classes to learn more about the culture and lifestyle in Spain. Stefanie will capture the city for CEA CAPA throughout the semester. She can't wait to start meeting new people, immersing herself in the culture, and photographing the beautiful city of Barcelona! 

TEO DARTU

Teo (they/them/theirs) is a Marketing major at Arizona State University. This fall they’re studying and interning in Barcelona, where they plan to practice photography. Teo hopes to explore as much as they can and document their daily life abroad. Look out for their posts to see what they learn about living in Barcelona!

JAILEEN MURILLO

Jaileen (she/her) is an Anthropology and Spanish major at Montclair State University. Jaileen is studying and interning abroad in Granada. While taking courses at the Universidad de Granada, she’ll assist at a local school as part of its bilingual program teaching students English. She’s most excited to learn from the people she works with and forming friendships with locals. While she’s studying and interning abroad, she’ll photograph pieces of her journey to share with other students who may be curious about taking similar steps!

FIORELLA O'CONNOR

Fiorella (she/her) is a Latino/a Culture and Communication major at DePaul University who is studying in Madrid this fall. Fiorella is filled with excitement as she anticipates seeing Madrid's rich cultural tapestry and trying to understand its true historical context. Beyond her academic endeavors and classroom activities, Fiorella hopes to enjoy playing soccer, sample a wide variety of foods, and establish deep connections with locals.
