Local Highlights

Plaça Sant Felip Neri

One of the most beautiful squares in Barcelona is also the most tragic. It was here that Gaudí was travelling when he was run over by a tram in the Gran Via and subsequently died, and it was here that a Fascist bomb blast killed people sheltering in the church during the Civil War. Along with a commemorative plaque, you can still see evidence of the violent past in the church’s pockmarked stones

Barcelona Museums - Free Sundays

Many of Barcelona's museums are free the first Sunday of every month, or every Sunday afternoon. Don’t miss out the great views of Barcelona´s old port from the Catalan History Museum rooftop terrace, the Maritime Museum, the Picasso Museum, the CCCB (Barcelona Contemporary Cultural Center).

Vall de Nuria Weekend Getaway

The mountain resort of Vall de Nuria in Spain’s Eastern Pyrenees is definitely worth a day trip. A ski resort during the winter and a nature and hiking haven during spring and summer, it’s easy to get to Vall de Nuria by train. The regional railway system has a direct line from Placa de Catalunya to Ribes de Freser, where you'll board the mountain track railway up to Vall de Nuria. The complete journey takes about two hours.

Temple of Augustus

Inside Number 10 Carrer Paradís lies one of Barcelona’s best-kept secrets. Tucked into a small medieval courtyard, four columns from the Roman Temple of Augustus have survived the passing centuries. These columns are more than 2,000 years old, like Barcelona itself.

Labyrinth Park in Horta

The Labyrinth Park is Barcelona’s oldest park, and since it's located outside of the tourist radius, it's something of an undiscovered treasure. Inside the neoclassical garden, you’ll find an 820-yard-long labyrinth that gives the park its name. Navigate the maze to find Eros —the god of love—at its center.

Loving Every Minute
I loved every minute of it. The teachers were experts in their field and shared their experiences with the class. The classes were small and teachers got to know and took an interest in each student.

Picture Yourself Here.

If you could go anywhere, where would you choose?

Can't decide? Don't worry. We still love you. Check as many as you like. Still not sure? That's OK. We would totally have a hard time too. Just check 'I don't know yet'.
